DJ SET MADE AT PESCADERO, BAJA CALIFORNIA
WISH YOU WERE HERE
Recorded in Baja California
Living van life at San Pedrito Beach is a constant reminder that nothing is forever. It is a deep philosophical and even spiritual epiphany that life is working in cycles. In every first introduction to a new friend, already a warm “goodbye” is embedded. It’s a natural dualistic principle that this reality is based upon: “You can’t have the one experience without the other. It is in every aspect of this world. The coin has always two sides. When it comes to people and this beach life it is the perpetual repetition of practicing the act of embracing to the fullest and letting go freely.
At least for me at this point in time it seems that life is testing me how much am I able to love unconditionally and therefore maintain a certain freedom from emotional attachments. Well, I am doing pretty good but still, I haven’t mastered this discipline. I am just a mere human and accepting the fast-pace and inevitable separation from individuals who you allowed to touch your very soul is a tough challenge.
Recently a whole bunch of people who I consider my crazy beach family vanished to continue their individual paths in life. May you be blessed on your journeys. I won’t say I miss you, but I love you more or less unconditionally. Anyhow, I have to admit I got a little bit melancholic so I recorded this mixtape. A little bit out of my subconscious mind if you will. Well, the music becomes more optimistic to the end. Enjoy!
