ABOUT ME AND MY WORK
PERSONAL DESCRIPTION OF MY SPECTRUM OF EXPERTISE
Hi, my name is Christian Köhlert, and I am a Media Artist and Digital Content Producer from Germany. From my perspective, it is a challenging task to describe myself and my work. It is an ongoing evolution that roots in the expression “Know thyself!”. It feels to me as if I am continually discovering my being, and this process always has a tremendous impact on my profession and how I define it.
To enable you to understand what I am talking about, I would like to summarize my professional history. It all began back in Germany with the acquisition of my Diploma in Industrial Design in 2005 with a focus on Interface Design. That was the time when I also started to produce and direct documentary films. This passion led me to produce talk shows, and so I became the chief editor for a production company that created content for Web TV.
In essence, my art is to transport ideas, information, and emotions with various media tools like filmmaking, website design, writing, or Photography. With my skills, I primarily like to promote ideas that have the potential to transform the world into a better place, and I want to tell inspiring stories that can open up our collective consciousness.
I have been living in Magdeburg, Stuttgart, Montreux, Wellington, and Todos Santos, B.C.S.

MUSIC AND GRAPHIC DESIGN
For me, DJing or arranging music is a form of Storytelling. So I am using this method to play around and experiment. It’s a testing ground on how to trigger certain moods and feeling with a set of records. I am still developing my Art of Storytelling in this realm, but I consider DJing a great exercise to improve my ability to communicate ideas and emotions to others.
Recording mixtapes include the challenge to compose an appealing graphic design for the cover. That process means going back to my roots. I studied Industrial Design at the Institute of Magdeburg, Germany. The covers below are a small selection and a quick overlook of my abilities in Graphic Design. You will find even more around here. We offer our experience and a good feeling for visual esthetics as a crucial part of our Holistic Media Consulting efforts.
